Cobalt Communications installs top-of-the-line systems for video conferencing, teleconferencing and audio-visual presentation systems for top-tier and Fortune 100 clients.

The challenge
Create a technologically fresh website that illustrates Cobalt’s position as an industry innovator. The site must highlight the Cobalt team, showcase their high-end work and demonstrate their ability to work with clients’ existing construction teams.

The marketing message
We crafted a marketing message that focuses on Cobalt’s biggest assets — their people and their expertise in planning and executing complex projects.

Here’s how we communicated those key points:

• Photograph the Cobalt staff individually and organize them into a Flash-based interactive carousel by team. A fun and engaging way to entice potential clients to learn more about the company
• Use Flash to pan and zoom across one of Cobalt’s finely detailed architectural plans. An eye-catching method to convey the scale of their projects, emphasize their tech-savvy approach, and their ability to work with architects and builders

• Created consistent branding by using only Cobalt blue, gray and silver colors throughout the site
• Added custom color shading for richness, depth and liveliness and to draw the eye to areas of importance, such as team member bios
• Built a simple and powerful structure and visuals — no distractions from the Cobalt message
• Incorporated SEO keywords and phrases through information-rich title tags, headings and body copy
• Developed easy navigation, with minimal and effective use of Flash
